DEXA (X-rays Axial Bone Densitometry)
DEXA is useful in preclinical studies for the evaluation of the body components variations and monitoring of the potential treatments effects.
DEXA allows bone tissue analysis of the following parameters:
- BMD = Bone mineral density (g/cm2)
- BMC = Bone mineral content (g)
- B Area (cm2)
and soft tissue evaluation:
- Lean (g)
- Fat (g)
- Total(g)
- % fat
